2026 Fall Car Sale Test Drive Unlock Up to $500 Promotion

 

1. Sponsor

The 2026 Fall Car Sale Test Drive Unlock Up to $500 Promotion (“Promotion”) is sponsored and administered by:

Participating dealerships and RadioAlabama are assisting with the promotion or distribution of promotional information but are not responsible for administering key selections, envelope selections, verifying winners, or awarding prizes.

2. Promotion Period

The Promotion begins Monday, September 28, 2026, and ends at the conclusion of the Heritage South Credit Union onsite Fall Car Sale on Friday, October 16, 2026.

Qualifying certificates may be redeemed only during the published hours of the onsite Fall Car Sale, October 14–16, 2026, at:

Certificates will not be accepted before the onsite Fall Car Sale begins or after the Promotion has ended.

3. Eligibility

The Promotion is open to legal residents of Alabama who are at least 19 years old at the time of participation.

The following individuals are not eligible:

  • Employees, officials, volunteers, and board members of Heritage South Credit Union;
  • Owners and employees of participating dealerships;
  • Employees of RadioAlabama or other advertising and promotional partners directly involved with the Promotion; and
  • Immediate family members or household members of any excluded individual.

“Immediate family” includes spouses, parents, children, siblings, stepparents, stepchildren, stepsiblings, grandparents, and grandchildren, regardless of where they reside.

Participants completing a test drive must satisfy all dealership requirements, including possessing a valid driver’s license and complying with applicable insurance and safety requirements.

4. Participating Dealerships

Beginning September 28, 2026, eligible individuals may visit any of the following participating dealerships:

  • Stop “N” Shop
  • Robo Motors
  • J&N Auto Sales
  • M&M Auto Sales
  • Serra of Sylacauga

Dealership hours, vehicle availability, and test-drive requirements may vary.

5. How to Enter Through a Test Drive

To enter through a participating dealership, an eligible participant must:

  1. Visit a participating dealership during the Promotion Period.
  2. Complete a dealership-approved vehicle test drive.
  3. Obtain an official Promotion certificate completed and signed or otherwise validated by an authorized dealership representative.
  4. Bring the original completed certificate and valid government-issued photo identification to the Heritage South Credit Union onsite Fall Car Sale, October 14–16, 2026.

The participant’s name must appear on the certificate, and the certificate must include all required dealership and test-drive information.

6. Free Alternate Method of Entry

An eligible individual who does not wish to complete a test drive may request one free alternate-entry certificate from the Heritage South Credit Union Main Office during regular lobby hours from September 28 through October 13, 2026.

The alternate-entry certificate provides the same opportunity to select a key and the same odds of winning as a dealership-issued certificate.

No purchase, test drive, vehicle purchase, loan application, account opening, financial transaction, payment, or Heritage South Credit Union membership is required.

7. Certificate Requirements

Only original certificates will be accepted.

A certificate is invalid if it is:

  • Incomplete;
  • Altered;
  • Photocopied, photographed, reproduced, or duplicated;
  • Transferred from another person;
  • Forged or fraudulently obtained;
  • Previously redeemed; or
  • Presented by someone other than the person named on the certificate.

Certificates have no cash value and cannot be sold, transferred, exchanged, or replaced if lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed.

Heritage South Credit Union may require valid government-issued photo identification and may verify certificate information with the issuing dealership.

8. Entry Limit

Limit one certificate, one entry, and one key selection per person for the entire Promotion.

Visiting multiple dealerships, completing multiple test drives, or obtaining more than one certificate does not provide additional entries or key selections.

Any attempt to participate more than once may result in disqualification and forfeiture of any prize.

9. Key Selection and $100 Prize

The complete key set consists of 250 keys:

  • Twenty-five keys are winning keys.
  • Two hundred twenty-five keys are nonwinning keys.

After presenting and surrendering a valid certificate, an eligible participant will select one key from the complete set of 250 keys and attempt to unlock the designated prize box.

  • If the selected key does not unlock the box, the participant does not win a prize.
  • If the selected key unlocks the box, the participant wins a $100 cash prize, subject to verification and the participant’s decision under Section 10.

After each participant completes the key attempt, the selected key will be returned to the complete set. All 250 keys will then be mixed and randomized before the next participant selects a key.

Every eligible participant therefore receives a separate and independent 25-in-250 chance of selecting a winning key.

Heritage South Credit Union’s determination of whether a selected key unlocks the designated prize box is final.

10. Opportunity to Keep $100 or Risk It for $500

A verified participant whose key unlocks the prize box must select one of the following options:

Option 1 Keep the $100

The participant may accept the guaranteed $100 cash prize and conclude participation in the Promotion.

Option 2 Surrender the $100 for a Chance to Win $500

The participant may permanently surrender the entire $100 prize for one opportunity to select one of 10 sealed envelopes.

The envelope set will contain:

  • One envelope with a $500 cash prize notification; and
  • Nine envelopes with nonwinning notifications.

If the participant selects the winning envelope, the participant receives $500 cash instead of the $100 prize.

If the participant selects a nonwinning envelope, the participant receives no cash prize and will not recover the surrendered $100.

The $100 and $500 prizes cannot be combined. The maximum prize available to any participant is $500.

The participant’s decision to keep or surrender the $100 is final and cannot be changed once the envelope-selection process begins.

11. Envelope Reset

Before each eligible participant makes an envelope selection, a complete set of 10 envelopes—one winning and nine nonwinning—will be prepared, reset, mixed, and randomized.

Each eligible participant who surrenders the $100 therefore receives a separate and independent 1-in-10 chance of selecting the $500 envelope.

12. Odds of Winning

Because the complete set of 250 keys is restored and randomized after every selection:

  • The odds of selecting a winning key are 25 out of 250, or 1 in 10, for every eligible participant.
  • The odds of selecting the $500 envelope after surrendering the $100 prize are 1 in 10.
  • The overall odds that an eligible entrant will first select a winning key and then select the $500 envelope are 1 in 100.

The number of $100 and $500 prizes awarded will depend on the number of eligible participants, the results of the independent key selections, and the decisions and envelope selections of winning participants. There is no predetermined guaranteed number of total winners.

13. Prize Value and Conditions

The maximum prize available to one participant is $500.

Prizes are stated in U.S. dollars, are nontransferable, and may not be substituted by a winner.

All applicable federal, state, and local taxes associated with accepting a prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

Before receiving a prize, a winner may be required to:

  • Present valid identification;
  • Confirm eligibility;
  • Sign a prize receipt;
  • Sign an eligibility, publicity, or liability release;
  • Provide tax information; or
  • Complete other documentation reasonably required by Heritage South Credit Union.

A participant who refuses or fails to provide required verification or documentation may be disqualified and forfeit the prize.

14. Publicity and Photographs

Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of a prize authorizes Heritage South Credit Union to use the winner’s name, hometown, photograph, image, likeness, voice, and prize information for advertising, publicity, and promotional purposes without additional compensation.

Winners may be asked to participate in a promotional photograph at the Fall Car Sale.

15. Participant Conduct and Disqualification

Heritage South Credit Union may disqualify any participant who:

  • Provides false or misleading information;
  • Attempts to enter or select a key more than once;
  • Submits an altered, copied, forged, transferred, or fraudulently obtained certificate;
  • Tampers with or attempts to inspect, mark, test, bend, manipulate, or interfere with any key, lock, box, envelope, certificate, or other Promotion material;
  • Interferes with the fair administration of the Promotion;
  • Attempts to obtain an unfair advantage;
  • Engages in threatening, abusive, disruptive, or unsafe conduct; or
  • Violates these Official Rules.

Any entry or prize claim involving fraud, deception, manipulation, or misrepresentation is void.

16. Administration and Decisions

Heritage South Credit Union will administer the Promotion and make all decisions concerning:

  • Participant eligibility;
  • Certificate validity;
  • Key selection and key results;
  • Envelope selection and envelope results;
  • Prize verification;
  • Disqualification; and
  • Interpretation of these Official Rules.

All decisions of Heritage South Credit Union are final and binding.

Neither a participating dealership nor RadioAlabama is authorized to change these Official Rules, promise a prize, provide additional entries, or make eligibility or prize decisions on behalf of Heritage South Credit Union.

17. Errors, Changes, or Cancellation

If fraud, tampering, equipment failure, printing error, production error, natural disaster, severe weather, public emergency, or another event outside Heritage South Credit Union’s reasonable control affects the integrity or operation of the Promotion, Heritage South Credit Union may suspend, modify, extend, or terminate the Promotion as reasonably necessary.

Heritage South Credit Union will not increase the advertised value of an individual prize because of a printing, production, technical, mechanical, or human error.

18. Release and Limitation of Liability

By participating, each participant agrees to release and hold harmless Heritage South Credit Union, RadioAlabama, the participating dealerships, and each organization’s directors, officials, owners, employees, representatives, agents, affiliates, and promotional partners from claims, injuries, losses, damages, or liabilities arising from participation in the Promotion or the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of a prize, except where prohibited by law.

Nothing in these Official Rules releases any party from liability that cannot legally be waived.

19. Privacy

Information collected in connection with the Promotion may be used to:

  • Administer the Promotion;
  • Verify participant eligibility;
  • Validate certificates;
  • Document key and envelope selections;
  • Contact participants when necessary;
  • Distribute and document prizes; and
  • Comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Participant information will not be used for unrelated marketing purposes unless the participant separately provides permission.

20. Governing Law

The Promotion and these Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama.

Any dispute relating to the Promotion must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Talladega County, Alabama, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

21. Acceptance of Official Rules

Participation constitutes the participant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and to Heritage South Credit Union’s decisions regarding the Promotion.

If promotional materials, radio announcements, dealership statements, social-media posts, certificates, or other communications conflict with these Official Rules, these Official Rules will control.

NO PURCHASE, VEHICLE PURCHASE, LOAN APPLICATION, ACCOUNT OPENING, FINANCIAL TRANSACTION, OR CREDIT UNION MEMBERSHIP IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR FINANCIAL TRANSACTION WILL NOT INCREASE THE ODDS OF WINNING.

Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
