Dear members, the health and well-being of our employees and members are at the upmost importance to us here at Heritage South Credit Union. Due to the current pandemic, we are having to make difficult decisions to ensure our staff and members are protected.

Starting Monday August 10th, our Alexander City branch will be temporarily closed with plans to reopen on August 24th. Please note our other four branches will remain open at the drive-through only as they have been for the past several months.

We encourage you to utilize all of our online services. You can check balances, transfer money, pay your bills, and make mobile deposits all online. On our website, you can apply for a loan and make online payments.

At the Alexander City branch you can still utilize the night deposit box to make deposits and make loan payments. You can use the ATM to make balance inquiries and withdrawals.

We understand this will be an inconvenience at times. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate contacting us at 256-245-4776.

Update 03-20-2020

For the safety and concern of our staff, our members, and our community, Heritage South Credit Union will close our lobbies and accept visitors by appointment beginning on Monday, March 23rd. 

Please visit our drive thru as we have expanded our services, our ATMs which are free to all members, and feel free to use your debit cards at the point of sale to get cash back if needed. 
Our call center staff has been increased to better answer your calls and messages.  Give us a call at 256-245-4776 for any questions or concerns or to make an appointment. 
We appreciate all our members and their courtesy as we all do our best to safeguard our members and staff!

Update 03-19-2020

In order to comply with the recent Statewide Public Health Order issued by Gov. Ivey, we will be limiting the number of members in our lobbies.  If you must come in, please be patient as we may have to monitor the entrance for volumes.  We have expanded our drive thru services to allow you to continue uninterrupted services.  If you have questions, please call ahead and let offer all remote services that are possible.  You can reach our call center at 256-245-4776.

As we all follow the impact of COVID-19, we consider the health and safety of our staff and members a top priority.  Heritage South is dedicated to our staff and our members.  We will continue to provide you access to your financial services in every way possible with all resources that we have available.  We will continue to monitor the ADPH, CDC, etc for the most current updates on the situation.  We have increased our availability of hand sanitizer, tissue, and disinfectant wipes and sprays for all facilities, members and staff, as well implemented a more robust cleaning regiment.  Please help us to keep everyone as safe as possible by using our drive thru and online services whenever possible.   The Credit Union will do our best to always be available for you as needed.

We have maximized our staffing and increased our services in our drive thru  and call center areas to allow for a safer environment for all services possible.  We encourage use of our electronic and online service options that are available. 

  • Our ATM services are free to all members and if you must use another ATM, we allow 4 free transactions per month at other ATMs.
  • We have many options available through our telephone banking, online apps, and our NetTeller Homebanking product.
  • Always remember that if you are in a point of sale environment in retail, you can get cash back on your debit card transactions for free too! 
  • We are offering Electronic signatures on documents via Docusign to allow members easier access and more convenience when you do need to sign paperwork.
